Dr. Robert Holzshu, D.O., Sports Medicine Fellowship
Richards Orthopaedic Center and Sports Medicine, ROC, is pleased to announce that Dr. Robert Holzshu, D.O., has joined their independent orthopaedic practice, as of July 10, 2017.
Dr. Holzshu, a Philadelphia native, earned a B.S. Biology degree from Duquesne University, and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. He completed his internship year at the University of Medicine of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine and his Residency program at the Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, New York, where he was chief Resident from 2015-2016.
His interest in Sports Medicine led him to a one year Fellowship Program at Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg, PA, which he completed in June of 2017. His professional experience includes, Team Physician at Susquehana Township High School Football, Assistant Team Physician of the Harrisburg City Islanders Professional Soccer Team and Assistant Team Physician at Shippensburg University Football under the leadership of head Team Physician, Dr. Robert Richards, Jr., M.D.
Dr. Holzshu is board certified in the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) and is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic life Support (BLS).
He will see patients with muscular skeletal issues, osteoporosis, sports related injuries, joint pain and offer sports physicals.
He and his wife, Alicia, look forward to becoming part of the Chambersburg community.
